Many people move through life carrying stress, relationship patterns, or past experiences that begin to feel overwhelming or difficult to understand. Over time, this can show up as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself. Therapy offers a space to slow down, better understand these experiences, and begin moving through life with greater clarity and intention.
My approach to therapy is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity about the patterns that shape our lives and relationships. I am especially interested in how attachment experiences, family dynamics, cultural expectations, and past coping strategies influence the way we understand ourselves, navigate uncertainty, and relate to others. Often, the behaviors or thought patterns that once helped us survive difficult experiences may no longer be serving us in the present.
I take a psychodynamic and strengths-based approach while also integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. In our work together, we may explore deeper relational and emotional patterns while also building practical tools to help manage stress, improve emotional awareness, and navigate challenges more effectively.
When working with trauma and high-stress experiences, I believe pacing and safety are essential. Therapy is not about pushing or rushing the process. Sometimes healing begins with having your story witnessed in a space where you feel grounded, supported, and understood. From there, we can begin building insight, stability, and meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable and safe.
I have experience working across a range of clinical settings, including in-home therapy, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, and community mental health. I have supported individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use recovery, family conflict, and major life transitions. My background has strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are and tailor care to each individual’s unique needs and experiences.
I strive to create a space that is culturally responsive, affirming, and respectful of the many experiences that shape who we are. I welcome conversations around identity, family expectations, systemic stressors, and navigating different cultural environments as part of the therapeutic process.
I offer therapy services to individuals ages 18+ at our Downtown Fire Station Clinic and via Telehealth Services.
